Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their checkout process in a lively, professional manner
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, ensuring food safety sanitizing procedures are followed
- Support inventory management by scanning items, bagging products, and restocking as needed
- Provide exceptional service by answering customer questions about products or store policies
- Follow food handling guidelines when processing food-related transactions or assisting in food service areas
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-volume production runs smoothly during busy hours
Skills
- Previous food industry or food service experience, including restaurant or catering roles
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures
- Strong knife skills, food handling expertise, and familiarity with kitchen equipment operation are advantageous
- Experience with menu planning, food preparation techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and cooking methods
- Ability to adhere strictly to recipes and meal preparation standards in high-volume environments
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Familiarity with dietary department operations, dietary aide experience preferred for understanding special dietary needs
