The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Planner I (Current Planning) in the Department of Community Development and Services. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, conducts research and analysis on community development projects and issues; and performs related work as assigned.
The current vacancy is within the Entitlements Division of Current Planning. In entitlements, the successful applicant will process land use applications, review development proposals, write staff reports, complete research, and provide front counter customer service.

Competitive Salary Range of $31.31 - $46.97 hourly; salary placement for non-represented positions is based on a comprehensive compensation review and takes into consideration the candidate's qualifications as well as internal equity*

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Planning, Geography, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or a closely related field OR
-
Associate’s Degree with a major in Planning, Geography, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or a closely related field, and two (2) years of experience conducting research and analysis on planning, zoning, or community development issues

Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or “border state” driver’s license as defined by NRS 483
