Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our legal team across a variety of practice areas, including municipal law, estate planning, litigation, and more. The ideal candidate will possess strong drafting and administrative skills to assist attorneys in managing cases efficiently. Duties
- Manage case files and document review processes utilizing document management systems like Clio and SharePoint.
- Draft legal documents such as agreements, easements, deeds, leases, pleadings, motions, and correspondence with precision and adherence to legal standards.
- Assist with client interviews and maintain effective communication through phone etiquette and organizational skills.
- Support litigation activities including filing court documents, tracking deadlines, recording documents, and preparing case summaries.
- Organize and maintain legal case management databases to ensure accurate data entry and document management.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, proofreading documents, transcription, and filing.
- Draft documents in specialized areas such as municipal law, land use and land development law, employment law, and others as needed.
- Provide executive administrative support to attorneys by handling correspondence and managing project timelines.
- Assist with project management tasks related to ongoing legal matters across multiple practice areas.
Qualifications
- Legal experience or equivalent administrative experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of various practice areas including municipal law, land use, land development, estate planning, litigation, employment law, and others as needed.
- Experience with case management software including Clio and SharePoint is preferred.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and accurate legal documents.
- Strong proofreading and transcription skills to ensure document accuracy.
- Organizational skills capable of managing multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Effective interviewing skills for client interactions.
- Ability to handle data entry accurately and manage document review processes efficiently.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
