Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fence Installation Crew Leader to oversee and participate in the daily operations of fence installation projects. This role involves supervising a team, coordinating with clients and management, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining a safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on installation experience, and a commitment to delivering high quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and supervise a crew of 2–3 team members on fence installation projects.
- Interpret and execute work orders.
- Install various types of fencing, including wood, vinyl, chain link, ornamental.
- Ensure proper tools, materials, and equipment are available and maintained daily.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and project managers.
- Monitor crew performance, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and make field adjustments as necessary.
- Keep accurate records of time, materials, and project status.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in fence installation.
- Prior leadership or foreman experience strongly preferred.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and material lists.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 10/30 Certification
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Experience with various power tools
- Experience with augers, shovels, jackhammers and other medium duty tools
