PURPOSE:
The Director of Innovative Solutions is responsible for the development of customer focused solutions that advance laboratory workflows and support commercial growth. This role identifies, develops, and implements innovative automation solutions, technologies, and processes that drive BET and Clinical sales while enhancing the customer experience. Working closely with customers, the Director develops customized technical and commercial solutions that address unique application needs, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen long term partnerships. The Director also serves as a strategic resource to the global sales organization by providing technical expertise, supporting complex opportunities, and helping commercial teams deliver differentiated solutions that meet evolving customer requirements.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional departments to identify commercial growth opportunities, assess emerging market trends, and develop innovative strategies that advance ACC's corporate objectives
- Work closely with Global Sales on solution applications including testing platforms, customized workflows and automation to help drive new revenue acquisition
- Leads the development and execution of creative business and technology solutions that improve efficiency, customer experience, revenue growth, and competitive advantage
- Assists marketing in the development of commercial strategies and initiatives highlighting focused innovative solutions for the BET and Clinical markets
- Collaborate with OEM manufacturers to develop customer focused applications including automation, software and consumables pertaining to ACCs BET and Clinical markets
- Work with channel partners to promote ACC products and services
- Submit monthly reports to the Director of Sales, U.S. or designee
- Contribute to the development of region sales forecast and expense budget, as required
- Self education on current market trends and competitive products
- Meeting assigned objectives
- Assisting with or performing presentations and workshop instruction at company held training courses and customer specific training courses, as required
- Regular domestic and international travel is required to support customer consultations, team collaboration, and industry conferences
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive knowledge of bacterial endotoxin testing (BET), microbiological quality control, laboratory workflows, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality control laboratories, validation activities, and customer workflows
- Experience developing and implementing customer focused technical and commercial solutions
- Experience evaluating, commercializing, and supporting new technologies, automation solutions, products, or strategic partnerships
- Knowledge of automation platforms, emerging technologies, and industry trends related to BET and Clinical testing
- Ability to identify market opportunities and translate customer needs into practical commercial solutions
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with executive leadership, Sales, Marketing, Technical Services, R&D, and external partners to achieve business objectives
- Strong business judgment with the ability to balance technical, customer, and commercial priorities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence technical, commercial, and executive audiences
- Ability to lead complex projects, manage multiple priorities, and work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM and business intelligence tools is preferred
- Established relationships within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or bacterial endotoxin testing community are preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 15 years of commercial experience within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, or life sciences industry, with a demonstrated history of driving business growth
- Extensive experience in bacterial endotoxin testing (BET), pharmaceutical quality control, or related microbiological testing is required
- Experience working with laboratory automation, analytical instrumentation, or regulated laboratory environments is preferred
- Experience developing customer focused technical and commercial solutions and supporting complex customer applications is preferred

SALARY: $163,000-$172,000 annually
PAY RANGE DETAILS
The pay range listed on each job posting at acc represents the anticipated compensation range for new hires. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s work history, experience, skills, and education. This range does not include the value of the total benefits package (if applicable), which includes, among other benefits, healthcare, dental, vision, and retirement benefits. Annual salaries are based on full-time employment.
