Duties
- Develop detailed 2D CAD drawings and 3D models for mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, Pro/ENGINEER, MicroStation, Revit, NavisWorks, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
- Create comprehensive schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and system layouts aligned with project requirements and industry standards including ASME codes & standards.
- Perform mechanical drafting tasks for product design, system integration, and construction documentation while ensuring accuracy and clarity in CAD documentation.
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate structural integrity and performance of designs under various conditions.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to develop innovative solutions for complex mechanical systems and ensure seamless integration within larger projects.
- Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to coordinate design efforts across disciplines and facilitate efficient project workflows.
- Maintain organized CAD files using Product Data Management (PDM) software and ensure all documentation adheres to company standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, MicroStation, Revit, NavisWorks, Bluebeam, and PDM systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, system design processes, and mechanical drafting techniques.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling for product development and system integration.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to ensure precise manufacturing specifications.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics, P&IDs, and assembly instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to mechanical design and construction projects.
- Experience in construction environments or related fieldwork is a plus.
- Excellent technical writing skills for creating clear documentation and reports.
- Skilled in performing FEA analyses to validate design robustness under operational loads.
- Capable of working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while managing multiple projects efficiently.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $84,050.63 per year
