Summary
A well-established manufacturer of high-performance materials is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance operations and ensure equipment reliability across a fast-paced industrial environment.
This role is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities, managing a team of skilled mechanics, and driving preventative maintenance programs to maximize uptime, safety, and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone who can balance team management with technical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance mechanics, assigning daily priorities and ensuring timely completion of work
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs and schedules using CMMS systems
- Ensure all plant equipment and facility systems are operating safely and efficiently
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and lead root cause analysis to prevent recurring failures
- Coordinate emergency repairs and after-hours maintenance needs as required
- Oversee installation, upgrades, and repairs of industrial equipment
- Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and manage vendor relationships
- Enforce safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures and regulatory compliance
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to improve equipment performance and reliability
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and increase efficiency
Requirements
- 10+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Prior experience leading or supervising maintenance teams
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, welding, and plumbing systems
- Experience with CMMS platforms (preventative maintenance tracking systems)
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Comfortable responding to after-hours or emergency maintenance situations
- Journeyman, trades, or technical education background preferred
