Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in a fully remote position. This is an hourly position with the flexibility to work either part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate’s availability and experience.
The ideal candidate will have approximately 10 years of accounting experience and a strong background in Public Accounting, Bookkeeping, Tax Preparation, and Full-cycle Accounting.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Perform full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
- Manage Bookkeeping and Accounting back work
- Prepare and review Individual and Business tax returns
- Assist with and perform Audit-related work
- Work with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
- Utilize Pro Series for Tax preparation
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Perform accounting research and resolve discrepancies
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word for accounting, reporting, and documentation
- Work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Approximately 10 years of progressive accounting experience
- Public accounting experience
- CPA preferred, but not required
- Strong bookkeeping and accounting back work experience
- Experience preparing Personal and Business tax returns
- Audit experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
