We have an immediate need for an inventory specialist.
Hours: 7:30pm - 4:00am
Starting Pay: $19.00 to $22.00 per hour based on experience
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in stock counts, and supporting the supply chain process. This position requires a strong understanding of logistics and materials handling.. The Inventory Specialist will collaborate with various departments to optimize inventory management practices and contribute to overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across multiple locations.
- Conduct regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile discrepancies.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Implement best practices for materials handling to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
- Unload trailers and containers using a stand-up counterbalanced fork truck
- Sort, count, and receive product into our warehouse management system
- Identify and report discrepancies and damages
- Put away product to storage bins either by hand or using a fork truck
- Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work area
- Work well in a team and be self-directed
- Perform picking and packing duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in a warehouse environment
- Must have prior forklift experience
- Possess a sense of urgency required to work in a deadline driven environment
- Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established quotas/standards and handle the physical demands including standing/walking for long periods of time and ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 65 pounds.
- Candidates must be reliable and punctual as good attendance is a requirement of this position
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration across departments.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
