Overview
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong driving background, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles safely and efficiently. This role offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the well-being of our community by ensuring timely and safe transportation for our clients.
Duties
- Safely operate shuttle buses, limousines, school buses, or other commercial vehicles to transport clients, staff, and supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, disembarking, and addressing their transportation needs courteously.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance tasks to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during every trip.
- Assist with heavy lifting when loading or unloading supplies or equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle condition reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, shuttle driver, bus driver, or in a similar commercial driving role.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for large vehicles).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading supplies or assisting passengers.
- Experience in paratransit services or school bus driving is preferred but not mandatory.
