We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership for this growing function.
Position Overview
The Vice President of Operations will be responsible for leading operational strategy, performance management, process improvement, and cross-functional execution for the Miami operation.
This executive will work closely with senior leadership and teams across Operations, Finance, Sales, Technology, Customer Success, and Business Development to ensure that operational priorities support company objectives and customer requirements.
The VP of Operations will be responsible for developing scalable operating processes, improving organizational efficiency, establishing measurable performance standards, and supporting the continued growth of the business.
The successful candidate will bring extensive operational leadership experience, strong financial and analytical capabilities, and a demonstrated ability to manage complex business operations in a technology-enabled environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company objectives and long-term growth priorities.
- Provide leadership for the day-to-day and long-term operations of the Miami-based team.
- Establish scalable operating processes, procedures, performance standards, and management controls.
- Partner with senior leadership to translate strategic objectives into measurable operational plans.
- Collaborate with Finance on operating budgets, forecasting, resource allocation, cost management, and performance analysis.
- Work closely with Sales, Technology, Customer Success, and Business Development teams to improve service delivery and operational execution.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators, operating dashboards, service metrics, and management reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, service quality, and operating performance.
- Lead process-improvement initiatives across business functions and support the adoption of standardized operating practices.
- Evaluate operational performance and provide recommendations to senior leadership based on business data and market conditions.
- Support technology implementation, workflow automation, data analytics, and systems optimization initiatives.
- Develop workforce plans that align staffing and organizational resources with business requirements.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and manage a high-performing operations leadership team.
- Establish effective vendor-management and third-party service processes.
- Partner with appropriate internal teams to support risk management, business continuity, contractual requirements, and applicable operational policies.
- Support new customer programs, strategic partnerships, and business expansion initiatives from an operational readiness perspective.
- Develop and manage annual operating plans and departmental budgets.
- Evaluate operational risks and establish appropriate mitigation and business-continuity measures.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer service.
- Provide regular operational performance updates and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in operations, transportation, logistics, supply chain management, business operations, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of senior leadership experience with responsibility for teams, budgets, and operational performance.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional business operations.
- Strong knowledge of operational planning, performance management, process improvement, and organizational development.
- Experience developing and managing operating budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to use business data to support operational decisions.
- Demonstrated experience improving processes and building scalable operating structures.
- Ability to work effectively across Operations, Finance, Sales, Technology, and other business functions.
- Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound business decisions in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, master's degree, or other relevant advanced degree.
- Experience within transportation, third-party logistics, supply chain technology, managed transportation, or enterprise services.
- Experience leading operations within a technology-enabled organization.
- Experience supporting the establishment or expansion of a regional office or business unit.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems, CRM platforms, business intelligence tools, workflow automation, and enterprise reporting systems.
- Experience with financial planning, operational forecasting, cost management, and performance analysis.
- Experience managing geographically distributed or cross-functional teams.
Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is:
$180,000–$255,000 per year
Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, scope of responsibility, and business requirements.
This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation in accordance with applicable company programs and policies.

The Vice President of Operations will collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
Periodic domestic travel may be required for corporate meetings, customer engagements, operational reviews, and industry events.
