Job Description:
The Lighting Tech is needed to work theater/stage lighting. Occasionally some sound operation is required (will be trained) at the newly renovated Media Arts Center and at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center. We are looking to fill this position with (1) contract employee who will be expected to work on an as needed basis.
We are looking for an individual who possesses a full understanding of all areas of lighting field.

- Ideal candidate would be able to program basic cue sequences on an ETC Element 2

Ideal candidates bring an open willingness to learn

Basic knowledge of ETC consoles/networking and current lighting technology

Basic understanding of wiring and electronics, special effects, and theatrical rigging

Ability to work independently and be self-motivated

Ability to manage stress (e.g. working under deadlines, irregular work schedules, long hours)

Hours vary and are event needs based including evening and weekend hours

Comfortable working in high places and an ability to lift 50lbs
Job Requirements:
-
Experience with ETC Element 2
-
Some professional theatrical electrician experience
-
One year experience working with Lighting for productions and events.

One year of customer services experience

Experience using A/V Equipment

Bachelor's degree or trade school degree.

Compensation: $40/hr
