Liquid Transport, a Dana Company, is currently seeking an experienced, motivated Driver Manager/Dispatcher for our Carson, CA terminal. IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT – PLEASE READ
This position requires prior dispatch, terminal, or operations experience within a commercial trucking or transportation company. Dispatch experience limited to ambulance services, emergency response, residential service calls (plumbing, HVAC, cable), or field service scheduling does NOT meet the requirements for this role.
Key Responsibilities of the Driver Manager/Dispatcher:
- Assign loads to drivers and equipment, ensuring compliance and safety.
- Communicate clear delivery requirements and monitor driver/equipment status.
- Prioritize safety, conduct driver discussions, and document incidents.
- Manage customer orders, track deliveries, and handle dispatch updates.
- Provide timely updates to customers and resolve service exceptions.
- Support terminal operations and assist the Terminal Manager as needed.
Qualifications of the Driver Manager/Dispatcher:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years’ experience in trucking industry as a dispatcher required
- Proficiency with dispatch/logistics software (TMW, Motive a plus)
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills a must
- Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Schedule & Work Location of the Driver Manager/Dispatcher:
- Monday to Friday, Day Shift (On-site)
- Rotational on-call duty after 3-6 months of training
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Wage: $26.00 to $28.00 (rate will be based on qualifications, relevant experience, and internal equity considerations)
