We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Long Term Care (LTC) Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate will enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about pharmacy. Experience in a pharmacy setting, supporting pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications to long term care facilities is a plus but not required.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently for long term care patients.
- Maintain accurate patient medication records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Receive, store, and manage inventory of pharmaceutical supplies and medications.
- Communicate effectively with nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other healthcare providers to coordinate medication delivery and resolve issues.
- Perform medication packaging, labeling, and documentation specific to long term care pharmacy operations.
- Support quality assurance and safety protocols to ensure patient safety and medication accuracy.
- Assist with billing and insurance documentation as needed.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices related to long term care.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
