Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, including oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension checks, brake repairs, shocks & struts, and other mechanical diagnostics
- Prepare detailed estimates using estimating software and explain repair options clearly to customers
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle condition and customer needs to maximize dealership revenue
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Write accurate service reports and maintain detailed records of all customer interactions and vehicle repairs
- Manage cash handling responsibilities and process payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy
Skills
- Strong automotive diagnostics knowledge combined with hands-on mechanic experience
- Proficiency with auto estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms
- Proven experience in dealership or automotive repair environments with a focus on service writing and auto service management
- Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Familiarity with collision repair processes, oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record; previous auto service technician or collision repair experience is highly valued
