Overview
AnchorPoint Mental Health & Wellness, LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and organized Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) to provide community-based behavioral-health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families.
The QMHS will help clients develop practical skills, access community resources, improve daily functioning, and work toward goals identified in their individualized treatment plans. Services may be provided in the office, client homes, schools, and other appropriate community settings.
This is not a hospital or nursing case-management position. The role focuses on behavioral-health support, skill building, care coordination, and community-based services.
Responsibilities
- Provide Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST), Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS), and other authorized behavioral-health services within the employee’s qualifications and assigned role.
- Assist clients with developing coping skills, emotional regulation, problem-solving, communication, organization, and independent-living skills.
- Help clients identify and access community resources, including housing, food assistance, transportation, education, employment, healthcare, and social-support programs.
- Support clients in following their individualized treatment plans and working toward measurable behavioral-health goals.
- Coordinate care with therapists, psychiatric providers, schools, social-service agencies, caregivers, and other members of the treatment team.
- Provide services in the office, clients’ homes, schools, and community settings as assigned.
- Complete accurate, detailed, and timely progress notes and other required documentation in the electronic health record.
- Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, OhioMHAS, Medicaid, agency, and professional documentation requirements.
- Participate in treatment-team meetings, supervision, staff training, and case consultations.
- Recognize and report changes in a client’s functioning, safety, or behavioral-health needs to the appropriate clinical supervisor.
- Follow agency policies regarding mandated reporting, crisis response, professional boundaries, and client safety.
- Maintain reliable communication with clients, families, supervisors, and other members of the treatment team.
Qualifications
- Must meet current Ohio requirements for designation and employment as a Qualified Mental Health Specialist.
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, criminal justice, sociology, or a related behavioral-health field is preferred.
- Relevant behavioral-health or social-service experience may be considered when permitted under applicable Ohio requirements.
- Experience working with individuals experiencing mental-health, behavioral, family, housing, educational, or social-service needs is preferred.
- Strong written communication and clinical-documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while remaining responsive to supervision and treatment-team direction.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and protect confidential client information.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn an electronic health record system.
- Must successfully complete all required background checks and employment screenings.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance are required for community-based assignments.

Work Requirements
This position may require local travel throughout Warrensville Heights and surrounding Greater Cleveland communities. The employee must be able to complete services and documentation according to agency, payer, and regulatory requirements.

Pay: $19.50 - $25.22 per hour
