Summary:
The Quality Coordinator is responsible for ensuring products meet company and FDA standards by assisting in the organization of quality systems and audits, while documenting processes, often involving inspections, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree (A.S.) in Business Administration, Quality Management or relevant technical degree.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience in quality assurance, food safety or similar role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and other similar software.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with various teams.
· Must be flexible and have the ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
· Displays an attitude conducive to progress through positive change, continuous improvement and active contributor to the teamwork concept.
Responsibilities/Duties:
· Assist with internal audits to assess compliance with GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) standards, as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to food safety and quality.
· Assist in the development, writing, revising and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency in processes and adherence to GFSI requirements.
· Assist in external audits by certification bodies, regulatory agencies, and customers.
· Investigate and document incidents of non-compliance or deviations from established procedures.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to food safety and quality, including documentation of audits, inspections, corrective actions, and training activities.
· Work with lab to ensure adherence to food safety protocols including developing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), assisting with the management of quality systems, and data entry.
Pay: $22.50 - $24.00 per hour
