Duties
- Assist with daily monitoring to ensure health and safety standards are met
- Provide gentle dog handling, including feeding, walking, and socializing to promote positive behavior and comfort
- Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and cleaning to maintain hygiene and appearance
- Maintain clean kennels and surrounding areas by disinfecting cages, sweeping, mopping, and organizing supplies
- Help with pet sitting duties by providing companionship and basic care for animals in the facility
- Maintain an enrichment schedule for assigned animals as part of their daily needs.
Experience
- Previous kennel or animal care experience is preferred but not necessary to apply; familiarity with pet handling techniques is a plus
- Experience in positive reinforcement dog training techniques or behavioral management is advantageous
- Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is beneficial for understanding medical procedures and animal restraint
- Background in pet grooming or pet sitting demonstrates a strong commitment to animal well-being
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling supplies or moving animals
