More about the Role:
Reporting to the Practice Manager, the seasonal dog walker safely walks dogs in the boarding facility. This role may also include additional duties to help the kennel assistant on shift, such as providing water, doing dishes, etc.
Shifts for dog walking are 8am - 10am and 4:30pm - 6:30pm. This is a seasonal position (February break, Spring break, Memorial Day week, Independence Day week, Labor Day, Thanksgiving week, Christmas week, New Year's week, and Summer break).
The ideal candidate will be available for the shifts above including holidays, weekends, and weekdays. Candidate must be okay with a variable schedule including periods of not being on the schedule. Candidate must be able to handle dogs safely with prior experience being a plus.

Essential Responsibilities:
Provides great care for patients visiting the practice for boarding.
Ensures patients are walked according to protocol.
Accurately relay any health or behavior concerns to the kennel assistant on duty.

Observes patients’ appearance and activity for general physical condition, obvious signs of illness, disease, and discontent.

Appropriately handles patients and as needed, properly restrains hard-to-control patients.
Walks patients to provide exercise and time for elimination of bowels and bladder.
Performs other duties as assigned.
