ALjAN Packaging, a division of McAdams Graphics, is seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager with experience in the flexible packaging and custom label industry. We are seeking someone who is passionate about generating new business and building lasting customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities or Essential Functions:
- Drive new business development by building and managing a strong sales pipeline—from lead generation through closing.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet company goals and revenue targets.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new customer opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize both profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Grow and maintain existing customer relationships to expand account revenue.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Estimating, Scheduling, and Production teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
- Represent ALjAN at industry events and trade shows to generate leads and stay current on market trends.
- Provide leadership with insights on industry trends, customer needs, and potential new products or services.
- Maintain accurate CRM data and submit regular sales activity and progress reports.
Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience in the flexible packaging industry, including premium labels, roll stock, sleeving, and pouches.
- Strong knowledge of industry materials, markets, and competitive landscape; sustainability and recycling experience is a plus.
- Highly motivated, results-driven, and self-directed.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and value-based selling skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset
Work Environment This job operates in an office/ print shop setting.
Travel
10-25% domestic/local travel is expected for this position
