We are seeking a dynamic and proactive On-Site Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives across construction sites, ensuring a secure and compliant working environment. Duties
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve site-specific safety plans aligned with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, NEC, and other relevant construction safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards related to electrical safety procedures, occupational health risks, and construction workplace safety regulations.
- Lead safety training sessions for construction teams on topics including OSHA compliance, hazard recognition, risk management, first aid/CPR certification, and emergency response protocols.
- Monitor adherence to safety policies by supervising daily activities, ensuring proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and enforcing construction safety management practices.
- Investigate incidents or near-misses thoroughly; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage compliance with workers' compensation regulations and coordinate with EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) teams to uphold occupational health standards.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to ensure all projects meet OSHA requirements and other regulatory obligations while fostering a culture of proactive risk management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site safety management or related roles within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations including OSHA standards, ANSI standards, NFPA standards for fire protection, NEC electrical codes, and construction regulatory compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in occupational health principles and risk management strategies tailored for construction environments.
- Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively on safety procedures and compliance management.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Valid certifications such as First Aid & CPR, OSHA 30-Hour or 500-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.
- Ability to perform thorough site inspections, hazard assessments, and emergency response planning confidently.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with project managers, contractors, workers’ compensation representatives, and regulatory agencies effectively.
