About the Role
We're looking for a hospitality-driven Front of House Captain to lead our dining room and set the standard for service excellence. This position is ideal for an experienced hospitality professional who thrives on coaching others, building strong teams, and creating a culture where both guests and staff feel genuinely cared for.
You'll lead dinner service, support the development of our front-of-house team, and work alongside our culinary and leadership teams to ensure every service reflects the standards and hospitality Bevy is known for.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the front-of-house team during service, ensuring smooth operations and an exceptional guest experience.
- Set the standard for hospitality through your presence, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members through ongoing feedback, training, and encouragement.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings that prepare the team for service and communicate important daily information.
- Build a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture where everyone is supported to succeed.
- Partner closely with the culinary team to maintain strong communication, proper pacing, and seamless execution.
- Create and manage the weekly front-of-house schedule while maintaining approved labor goals.
- Step into serving shifts, when needed, to support the team and maintain service standards.
- Address guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and confidence.
- Communicate operational, guest experience, or team performance opportunities with the Director of Operations & Hospitality.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a full-service restaurant, preferably as a Captain, Floor Supervisor, or Lead Server.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to earn respect through consistency, humility, and accountability.
- Experience writing schedules and understanding labor management.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Calm, confident decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
- A team-first mindset and willingness to lead by example every shift.
