Job Title: Echo Technician (Contract)

Pay Rate: $50.00 – $58.00/hour (local )
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Echo Technician (Echocardiographer) to join a leading healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of diagnostic echocardiographic procedures while providing exceptional care to adult and geriatric patients. This is a contract opportunity with the potential to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality M-mode, 2D, pulse-wave Doppler, continuous-wave Doppler, color Doppler, contrast, and stress echocardiograms.
- Acquire diagnostic images and complete all required measurements and calculations accurately.
- Assess adult and geriatric patients while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort throughout the examination.
- Assist cardiologists during echocardiography procedures as needed.
- Complete accurate documentation and maintain patient medical records.
- Operate, clean, and maintain ultrasound equipment.
- Ensure examination rooms remain clean, organized, and adequately stocked.
- Participate in ongoing education and maintain current registry requirements.
- Assist with the training and mentoring of students and fellows when required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree in Science preferred
- Current Echocardiography Registry required
- Minimum 2 years of Echocardiographer experience preferred
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Echocardiography Certificate
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of echocardiography equipment and cardiac imaging techniques
- Excellent patient assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with adult and geriatric populations
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining high-quality patient care.
