Day Porter / Light Maintenance

Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday | 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (32 hours/week)
Compensation: $18.00 – $20.00/hour, depending on experience

Position Summary
The Day Porter / Light Maintenance position is a hands-on, active role responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of club facilities throughout the day. This position works closely with the General Manager and Facilities Manager to ensure that all public and operational spaces are clean, safe, and event-ready. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, shows initiative, and is comfortable shifting priorities as the needs of a busy club evolve throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as backup housekeeping support, maintaining cleanliness of restrooms, common areas, hallways, and other club spaces as needed
- Respond promptly to emergent cleanup situations (spills, weather-related issues, etc.)
- Perform light maintenance and minor repairs throughout the facility
- Organize storage areas, back-of-house spaces, and supply rooms
- Restock supplies including paper goods, cleaning materials, and other consumables
- Assist with setup and breakdown of club facilities for events, meetings, and member functions
- Move, arrange, and transport furniture, equipment, and supplies as directed
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the General Manager and Facilities Manager
Qualifications
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. regularly
- Comfortable using common hand tools and performing basic light maintenance tasks
- Strong communication skills — able to clearly receive, understand, and follow directions
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in janitorial, facilities, porter, or general maintenance roles preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting throughout the shift. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
