Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support while handling transactions efficiently. Your ability to engage with customers, answer inquiries, and promote products will be key to enhancing their shopping experience.
Duties
- Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently, processing customer transactions with attention to detail.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their needs.
- Utilize phone etiquette to manage incoming calls, addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance sales opportunities.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to company policies.
- Demonstrate products effectively to customers, providing information that encourages purchases.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while ensuring merchandise displays are well-stocked and appealing.
- Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance on customer service best practices and operational procedures.
- Utilize retail math skills for accurate pricing, discounts, and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in cash register operations and cash handling procedures.
- Strong phone etiquette skills for effective communication with customers over the phone.
- Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a positive customer experience.
- Bilingual candidates are highly desirable to better serve our diverse customer base.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts for managing transactions accurately.
- Experience in supervising staff or training new employees is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
