Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable HVAC Trainer to lead the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs for aspiring and current HVAC professionals. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems to educate trainees on industry standards, safety protocols, and technical skills. Your energetic approach will inspire learners to excel in their careers while ensuring they gain practical, hands-on experience aligned with current industry practices. Duties:·
- Technical HVAC hands-on training and coaching.
- Individual interaction between team members and customers.
- Performance coaching and ride along with Technicians in the field.
- Technical assistance and guidance over the phone to Technicians in the field.
- Provide classroom training on HVAC equipment, troubleshooting, maintaining, repair and diagnosis. Information including but not limited to boilers, chillers, electricity and other types of equipment related to heating and cooling.
- Teaching/Coaching and mentoring employees in positive environment.
- Explain and teach all types of tools of the trade.
- Design, develop, and implement detailed HVAC training curricula that incorporate industry best practices, safety standards such as OSHA regulations.
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction and hands-on training sessions on HVAC/R systems, electrical wiring, plumbing, welding, mechanical knowledge, and other related trades.
- Assess trainee progress through practical demonstrations, written assessments, and performance evaluations to ensure mastery of core competencies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends in manufacturing, construction, maintenance to continuously enhance training content.
- Collaborate with industry partners to incorporate real-world scenarios into training modules and ensure curriculum relevance.
- Ensure all training activities comply with OSHA safety standards and promote a safe learning environment.
- Provide mentorship and support to adult learners from diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive atmosphere that encourages active participation and skill development.
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and HVAC/R applications across various industries such as manufacturing, construction, and residential environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, HVAC plumbing and mechanical principles.
- Proven ability to develop effective training curricula tailored for adult education audiences.
- Excellent teaching skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and confidently.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and best practices for industrial environments.
- Practical experience in maintenance operations within residential and commercial and construction settings is highly desirable.

Requirements:
· Previous experience as an HVAC Service Technician in Field Service Work
· Mechanical skills and knowledge
· Previous experience with all types of refrigerants
· Able to read and teach blueprint reading and how to find technical assistance through manuals and technical support
· Troubleshooting experience
· Leadership experience
· Customer sales and service skills
· Computer literacy
· HVAC Certificates
· Able to meet the company driving requirements with a good driving record
