Overview

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), to ensure accurate fabrication
- Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to inspect parts for accuracy and adherence to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including tooling changes, calibration, and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to identify defects or deviations from standards
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects, utilizing forklift, crane, or other material handling equipment as needed for sheet metal movement
Skills
- Proficiency in operating press brake machines with a strong understanding of setup procedures
- Experience with lathe machines is highly desirable
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, and mechanical drawings for accurate fabrication
- Ability to use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection
- Familiarity with welding techniques and sheet metal fabrication processes
- Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment such as stamping presses, and tooling management
- Ability to work safely with forklift, crane operations, and basic math skills necessary for machining tasks
- Strong attention to detail in quality control inspections and assembly processes
