A nonprofit organization focused on improving outcomes for youth and families throughout the East Bay is seeking an AP/AR Specialist to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to build a strong foundation in nonprofit accounting while growing within a mission-driven organization.

Process accounts payable invoices and payment runs

Manage accounts receivable billing, collections, and cash application

Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
-
Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close
-
Maintain accurate vendor, customer, and accounting records
-
Support grant, program, and fundraising-related accounting activity
-
Assist with audits and financial reporting processes
-
Research and resolve invoice, payment, and account discrepancies
-
Collaborate with accounting leadership on special projects and process improvements
-
2+ years of accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting experience
-
Experience with Sage Intacct strongly preferred

Nonprofit accounting experience preferred

Knowledge of AP, AR, general ledger, and account reconciliations

Strong Excel skills and attention to detail

Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
