Overview
We are seeking a motivated Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient management of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate inventory control, proper packaging, and timely order fulfillment. Your proactive approach will help maintain seamless warehouse operations and support our commitment to exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using inventory management software and RF scanners
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, labeling, and ensuring proper packaging according to trade compliance standards
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload goods safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Conduct inventory counts regularly to ensure stock accuracy and assist with stock replenishment in warehouse distribution areas
- Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate shipping logistics for domestic and international trade regulations
- Support warehouse operations by stocking shelves, organizing storage areas, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment
Skills
- Experience with warehouse distribution, order picking & packing, load & unload procedures, and stocking techniques
- Ability to operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment safely
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and data entry accuracy
- Excellent customer service skills to support internal teams and external vendors effectively
- Knowledge of warehouse operations including safety protocols, packaging standards, and logistics coordination
