Part-Time Medical Assistant – Nephrology Practice
Location: Wheeling, WV
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday | 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Our busy, well-established nephrology practice in Wheeling, WV is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced medical office and is committed to providing outstanding patient care.
This is a part-time position offering a consistent daytime schedule, Paid Time Off (PTO), and a 401(k)-retirement plan.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Update medical histories, medications, and allergies
- Prepare patients for provider examinations
- Administer injections as directed by the provider
- Assist the physician during office visits
- Document patient information accurately using the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments
- Answer patient phone calls and assist with scheduling
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and stocked medical supplies
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control guidelines
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred, but experienced candidates will be considered
- Minimum of one year of Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Experience in nephrology, internal medicine, or primary care is a plus
- Injection experience is required
- Phlebotomy experience is not required
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Professional, reliable, and compassionate with a positive attitude
