Job Summary
The Paw Spa, now under new ownership, is looking for professional, loving groomers to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with a pawsitive outlook and professional demeaner. Previous grooming experience required. Must be open to continued education and learning. This position is responsible to ensure the safety and security of pets, customers and fellow associates.

1 year of professional grooming experience in a professional business
Must keep a clean, safe work environment
Teamwork is essential
Daily Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome customers and pets in a friendly and professional manner
Pre and post-consultations with customers are required to discuss hot spots, knicks, moles etc.
Groomer must be very knowledgeable of a wide variety of breeds and breed cuts, hand scissoring, and other grooming techniques
The groomer will be responsible for grooming dogs from start to finish. Service is to be conducted according to pet owners instructions only. Groomers are not to take their own discretion for grooming style.
Regularly demonstrate sincere concern for the care, attitudes and behaviors of pets and the relationship they have with their parents.
NO ROUGH HANDLING OF ANY ANIMAL WILL BE TOLERATED AND/OR LEAVING A DOG UNATTENDED ON GROOMING TABLE OR IN TUB AT ANY TIME
Must train on product knowledge of Paw Spa grooming products and menu offerings informing customers of specialty products such as deep conditioner, flea shampoos etc…
Must always use proper animal restraints and best practices for kennels, dryers, equipment, etc.
Maintain safe and sanitary work area for both pet and groomers. This includes vomit, urine, fleas, etc
Responsible for following approved procedures and policies
Communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers, management and the public at all times
Ensure customers notes are filled out appropriately and accurately if there is an incident or any other relevant issues we need to communicate to the pet parent
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
