Server – City Garden (Second Floor | VIP Experience)
Secrets Cocktail Garden is seeking sophisticated, service-driven individuals to join our VIP server team in the City Garden — our premium second-floor cocktail and hookah lounge featuring live music and an elevated nightlife experience.
As a City Garden Server, you are the embodiment of the Secrets brand. You'll deliver personalized, high-touch service to VIP guests, manage bottle service, coordinate with hookah attendants, and ensure every interaction reflects the premium lounge environment our guests expect. This is a nightlife-forward role that demands confidence, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a high-energy atmosphere.
Uniform requirements for this role include: A Bustier top (no undershirt), skirt, stockings, and heels. This is the required dress standard for every shift, and candidates should be comfortable with this uniform prior to applying.
This is a tip-eligible position with strong earning potential in a high-volume upscale environment.
Server – Rose Garden (First Floor | Upscale Southern Dining)
Secrets Cocktail Garden is seeking polished, hospitality-focused servers to join our Rose Garden team — our first-floor upscale Southern dining experience known for theatrical flair cocktails and exceptional cuisine rooted in the rich culture of Jackson Ward.
As a Rose Garden Server, you'll guide guests through a thoughtfully crafted menu, deliver attentive table service, and contribute to the warm, refined atmosphere that defines the Secrets dining experience. You'll also support our signature cocktail presentations, adding a theatrical element to service that sets us apart from any other dining experience in Richmond.
Uniform requirements for this role include: A white shirt worn under a Bustier top, skirt, stockings, and heels. This is the required dress standard for every shift, and candidates should be comfortable with this uniform prior to applying.
This is a tip-eligible position with strong earning potential in a high-volume upscale environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and present menus confidently, offering personalized recommendations and upselling opportunities to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated effectively to the kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and food safety protocols
- Manage multiple tables efficiently by prioritizing tasks, handling cash handling duties, and processing payments accurately through POS systems including Cashiering functions
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction in both fine dining settings and lively nightclubs
- Support team members by collaborating seamlessly with kitchen staff, host/hostess team, and management to deliver a cohesive service experience
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub environments
- Demonstrated ability to handle POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS with confidence
- Strong food handling knowledge along with understanding of sanitation and food safety regulations
- Experience in customer service roles within the food industry that showcase excellent communication skills and guest relations abilities
- Familiarity with OpenTable for reservations management is a plus
- Proven time management skills to juggle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing processes
