Weber's Bakery is looking to hire a front end store clerk for the morning shift. If you haven't heard of us, here's a little bit about our business.
Weber's Bakery is one of Chicago's oldest retail bakeries. We've been in business since 1930, and are proud of our history on the southwest side. We are a scratch bakery and we take pride in our products from start to finish. We produce a wide variety of cakes, pastries, breads, and cookies. We strive to not only make delicious products, but we also work hard to cultivate a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in our store.
We are looking to add to our front end team. Job responsibilities can and will include:
-wait on customers in person in the store
-answer phones and take customer cake and pastry orders
-neatly package items for sale and on order
-tray and pan baked items from the oven
-fill in the store with fresh product
-keep the store clean and organized
Candidates should possess the following traits:
-punctuality and reliability: we work as a team, so it is important to be on time and ready for your shift each time you're scheduled
-computer literacy: we enter in many of our orders on computers and tablets, our registers are computerized, and we rely on smartphones and pictures for taking cake orders
-ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment: the job requires candidates to be on their feet for the majority of their shift; there is a lot of walking involved
-friendly, courteous, and professional: candidates must possess strong customer service skills
HOURS NEEDED: Tuesday-Saturday 3:30 AM - 12:00 PM. This is a full-time position with benefits. Please note that candidates should be available to work on Sundays as needed (busy holiday times).
