Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and energetic Pre-K Teacher to join our team! In this role, you will help prepare our young learners for kindergarten by fostering their social, physical, and intellectual growth in a safe and engaging environment.
- Work Hours: Ideally 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, but we offer schedule flexibility for the right candidate!
Key Responsibilities
- Child Safety & Well-Being: Prioritize and maintain a safe, nurturing, and healthy environment for all children.
- Curriculum & Instruction: Implement Frog Street daily curriculum and activities designed to promote social, physical, and cognitive development.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a clean, organized, bright, and welcoming classroom.
- Family Engagement: Communicate regularly and build strong relationships with enrolled and prospective families to support child achievement and center success.
- Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with staff and management to maintain a positive, energetic, and fun center culture.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Energetic, positive attitude and a passion for working with children.
- Ability to work well within a collaborative team environment.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass required local and federal background checks.
- Must meet all state child care licensing requirements as outlined by the Texas DFPS.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior classroom experience in early childhood education.
- Current CPR / First Aid Certification.
- Completed continuous education clock hours / childcare training certificates.
