About Nashville Boating Center
At Nashville Boating Center, we don't just sell boats — we sell experiences on the water. As Nashville's premier boating destination, we're proud to partner with top manufacturers and provide our customers with world-class products and service. We live and breathe the boating lifestyle, and we're looking for someone who does too.
The Role
Rig Tech is an entry level technical position that opens the door for an exciting career in the marine industry. By being the first person to inspect and prep every new boat, you'll be an essential part of every boat's journey — from the moment it rolls off a transport trailer to the day a happy customer drives it away. You'll work alongside our service team in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where no two days look the same. If you're the kind of person who takes pride in attention to detail and take great pride in your work, you will fit right in.
What You'll Do
- Pickup and deliver boats to and from the area lakes in support of the service team
- Receive, unload and rig/prep incoming boat deliveries from manufacturer transport partners, ensuring each unit is inspected and handled with care.
- Pressure wash and detail pontoon and fiberglass boats, as needed, to showroom-ready condition.
- Strategically move, stage, and position boats on the lot to maximize visibility and support the service team's workflow.
- Coordinate retrieval and delivery of customer boats for scheduled service appointments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing lot — because first impressions matter.
- Collaborate with service technicians and sales staff to support daily operations.
- Identify and report any damage, safety concerns, or maintenance needs promptly.
Who You Are
- Self-starting and independent — you don't wait to be told what needs doing; you see it and take care of it.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with a natural eye for order and presentation.
- Creative problem-solver who can adapt on the fly and find solutions with the resources at hand.
- A genuine passion for boating, the water, and the lifestyle that comes with it.
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic who fits naturally into a high-energy, customer-focused culture.
- Comfortable operating boats, trailers, and forklifts or willing to learn (experience a plus).
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license required; clean driving record preferred.
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
- Health benefits — we take care of our crew.
- Paid Time Off (PTO) — rest and recharge for the season ahead.
- A workplace built around the boating lifestyle, with a team that genuinely loves what they do.
- Opportunities to grow within a well-established, community-respected dealership.
- Further education and advancement.
