Responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct repairs on various automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
- Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively during repair processes.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to understand vehicle systems and components.
- Provide accurate auto estimating for repairs needed on GM vehicles and other makes/models.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficient in vehicle maintenance practices with a strong understanding of automotive service techniques.
- Experience with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is a plus.
- Familiarity with dealership operations and standards is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to use power tools effectively.
- Knowledge of auto estimating processes and ability to provide accurate assessments of repair needs.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to automotive systems.
- Experience working specifically with GM vehicles is advantageous but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
