Role Summary
We are seeking a Heavy Civil Superintendent possessing at least five years of experience to oversee field operations on heavy civil construction sites. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving and planning capabilities, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a steadfast dedication to safety. You will be responsible for managing subcontractors and multiple crews to ensure projects are completed within budget, on schedule, and meeting superior quality standards.
Core Responsibilities-
Direct and guide field supervisors and crews to ensure work is executed with maximum productivity and safety.

Help maintain a secure working environment for the entire team by enforcing safety protocols and generating weekly reports.

Equip forepersons with the necessary information, materials, and tools to ensure tasks are completed accurately.

Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to established budget and schedule goals.

Analyze survey data, project plans, and technical specifications to guide assigned work activities.

Assist in improving project profitability by tracking productivity and reviewing job cost reports.

Utilize QA/QC procedures to help guarantee that all work meets high-quality benchmarks.

Manage essential documentation, including material tracking, submittals, and required administrative paperwork.

Address unforeseen site challenges and changing conditions with a proactive mindset.

Coordinate with stakeholders and manage manpower requirements to ensure project success.
Qualifications-
Minimum of five years of experience in heavy civil construction with a proven track record in a superintendent role.

Comprehensive understanding of industry best practices, equipment, QA/QC, and OSHA regulations.

Capacity to navigate shifting priorities and fast-paced construction schedules.

Competency in using Microsoft Office software.

Possession of a current driver’s license.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate field operations and provide effective leadership to teams.

Willingness to travel locally within NJ and Southeastern PA.

Current OSHA 30-Hour or 10-Hour certification.
