- Assist with written translation tasks when needed, ensuring clarity and cultural appropriateness
- Support clients and professionals by explaining procedures, instructions, or cultural nuances as necessary
- Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information in accordance with privacy laws and organizational policies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless interpretation services during scheduled appointments or events
- Continuously improve language proficiency through ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Requirements
- Fluent in both Bengali and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages
- Proven experience in interpretation or translation roles, preferably within healthcare, legal, or social service environments
- Multilingual abilities are highly desirable; familiarity with additional languages such as American Sign Language is a plus
- Deep understanding of linguistics principles and cultural sensitivities relevant to Bengali-speaking communities
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication styles to diverse audiences
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments efficiently
- Certification or training in interpretation or translation is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to pursue relevant certifications is encouraged
