Job Responsibilities: What will you be doing as a caregiver?
As a caregiver, you may assist clients with non-medical, in-home support, including:
- Companionship care, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, errands, conversation, recreational activities, and medication reminders
- Personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, hygiene support, mobility assistance, transfers, toileting, and feeding support
- Transportation assistance for appointments, errands, and outings, using the caregiver’s or client’s vehicle when appropriate
- Helping clients maintain safety, comfort, independence, and dignity in their own homes
