Full Job Description

General X-Ray Technologist (Contract) – NY 14642

Contract Length: 13 Weeks (05/04/2026 – 08/01/2026)
Schedule: Full-Time, 5x8-hour shifts (Monday–Friday)
Shift Times: Day shifts (e.g., 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Hours: 40 hrs/week
Pay: $2,351 – $2,635/week
Call: 2–3 on-call shifts/month + callback coverage
Holidays: As required per unit needs
Response Requirement: Must report within 30 minutes for call shifts

Position Summary & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging per physician orders
Verify patient identity and ensure correct exam protocols
Position and assist patients, including those with limited mobility
Produce high-quality images for radiologist interpretation (PACS workflow)
Ensure radiation safety and proper equipment use/maintenance
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with dual patient identifiers
Respond to equipment issues and report malfunctions promptly

Requirements

Active NYS Radiologic Technologist License (or eligible)
ARRT Certification required
BLS Certification (AHA only)
Minimum 2 years X-ray Tech experience
Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
Recent OR experience required
Experience with C-arm/O-arm (within last 8 months)
Ability to lift/move patients and stand for long periods
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills
