Foreign Exchange is seeking an experienced full-time Body Shop Technician. Foreign Exchange is a 45 year-old, family-owned business with 5 locations in the greater Dayton area. We offer a great culture, excellent benefits and a growing organization. This position will be located at Foreign Exchange Moraine, 5269 Cobblegate Blvd.
Responsibilities:
· Inspect vehicles to determine what repairs are necessary to ensure safety and restore the vehicle to the customer’s satisfaction.
· Remove, repair, or replace damaged body components by removing dents, rust and collision damage. Utilize skills in welding, fabrication and sheet metal work to provide a professional result.
· Guidecoat and repair any low areas prior to painting. Mask or otherwise protect the vehicle from overspray. Sand and apply primer to prep components for painting.
· Color match paint. Paint and refinish body components using pneumatic spray equipment. After painting, sand and buff as necessary.
· If the vehicle also requires mechanical repairs, work as a team with automotive technicians to coordinate mechanical and body work.
· Work with service manager to communicate time and materials needed and update as needed.
Qualifications:
· 2+ years experience as Body Shop Technician
· ICAR or ASE certification preferred
· Skilled in use of welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, paint spray gun, sanders, adhesives, fillers and other body shop tools and supplies.
· Knowledge of how to disassemble and re-assemble vehicles properly.
· Self-starter with the ability to provide quality workmanship within industry-standard timeframes.
· Keep a tidy workspace.
· Ability to lift 50 pounds.
· Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must be insurable to drive customer vehicles.
· Background check required.
· Any other duties as assigned.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
