- Support the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation for special dietary needs and catering events.
- Serve meals efficiently while providing friendly and attentive customer service.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness by cleaning utensils, equipment, and work areas regularly.
- Participate in food presentation and garnishing to enhance visual appeal for fine dining or catering occasions.
- Follow all food industry guidelines related to hygiene, sanitation, and safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely meal delivery.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels or shortages.
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide, with familiarity in meal preparation and food service environments.
- Strong culinary skills including cooking techniques, knife handling, and food presentation, baking.
- Experience with menu planning tailored to diverse dietary requirements.
- Background in fine dining, scratch cooking, restaurant settings that emphasize high-quality food preparation and presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for serving guests and collaborating with team members.
- Experience in catering events or large-scale meal preparation is a plus.
