Our client is currently seeking or in need of a Journeyman Electrician for a manufacturing environment in Clearwater, Florida. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled trades professional with strong industrial experience and a solid understanding of electrical systems, safety practices, and code compliance. The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting production by helping ensure equipment remains operational, efficient, and safe throughout the facility. The Day-to-Day:
- Provide first-line electrical support to manufacturing operations to help keep production equipment running safely and efficiently
- Troubleshoot electrical issues on industrial machinery and related systems
- Repair, install, retrofit, and maintain electrical equipment and associated components
- Work with electrical systems involving voltages up to 600 VAC / 3 phase
- Calculate proper sizing for conductors, protection devices, services, and materials
- Use a variety of electrical test instruments and diagnostic equipment
- Participate in Lean and 5S efforts within the work area to support continuous improvement
- Apply Lean concepts to improve workflow, organization, and overall efficiency
- Document and record productivity data as needed for SQDC board tracking
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical trade with industrial experience required
- Active Journeyman Electrician license required
- Practical working knowledge of NEC code and NFPA 70E standards
- Strong workmanship and commitment to quality
