Patch & Repair Technician – Precast Concrete

Wilbert Precast is seeking a dedicated, full-time Patch & Repair Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for performing surface repairs, finishing, and cosmetic corrections on precast concrete products to meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role plays a critical part in ensuring finished products are structurally sound, visually acceptable, and ready for delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Perform patching, grinding, filling, and surface repairs on precast concrete products
- Repair surface defects such as honeycombing, bug holes, chips, cracks, and voids
- Match textures and finish to meet appearance standards
- Use hand tools, power tools, and patching materials safely and effectively
- Follow repair procedures, drawings, and quality guidelines
- Work closely with Quality Control and Production teams to address deficiencies
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Inspect repaired products to ensure quality and consistency
- Comply with all safety policies, PPE requirements, and plant procedures
- Support continuous improvement efforts and assist other production tasks as needed
- Occasional local and regional travel for on-site repairs
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with concrete, masonry, or construction materials preferred
- Knowledge of concrete patching techniques and surface finishing
- Ability to use hand and power tools (grinders, trowels, mixers, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in varied conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Precast concrete manufacturing experience
- Familiarity with repair materials, bonding agents, and curing methods.
- Ability to read basic drawings or instructions.
- Forklift or equipment experience (or willingness to train).
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Indoor plant facilities and outdoor environments.
- Exposure to concrete dust, vibration, noise, and weather conditions.
- Requires standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and manual dexterity.
