SUMMARY
This is an entry-level part-time position in which the employee performs general work such as database entry, phones, greeting/checking in visitors to the Forks Township Community Center, customer service, monitoring the center and other general duties. Ability to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and nights.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
A Front Desk COmmunity Center Monitor’s responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Functions:
- Manage reception area in an efficient manner
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting those who visit the center
- Check-In – all members
- Disseminate program information as requested
- Handle all reservations, program registrations, memberships, and drop-in’s utilizing our recreation software
- Always ensure proper usage of the center; making sure that all policies and procedures are being followed
- Report any problems or concerns with equipment, supplies, etc.to management
- Perform light cleaning duties throughout center
- Snack bar duties include taking orders, prepping food and drinks, cleaning, and performing inventories.
- Assist with the setup/tear down of facilities for sporting events, programs, meetings, parties, etc
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Recreation Manager
Skills and Requirements:
- Possess excellent people skills
- Strong communication skills
- Must be reliable and dependable and can exercise good judgment
- Must be punctual and have good attendance
- Proficient in the use of a computer, including the use of Microsoft Windows and Office software
- Ability to obtain CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must be 18 years of age.
