Position Summary
The Processing Clerk reports to the Production/Repack Manager in a food processing environment and is responsible for inputting and creating customer orders in the Famous system. Additionally, the clerk must confirm that the proper number of materials was discounted from each order prior to completing it in the system. Customer contact via email or phone may be required to specify the Work Order construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management: Confirm production schedules and quotas are met daily; assign incomplete tasks for first startup the following day.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to customer specifications, FDA/USDA food safety regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Data Accuracy: Cross-reference information submitted by Line Leads with the Famous system (Pallets utilized, Output tags, Material usage, etc.).
- Communication: Provide daily updates to the Sales team and customers regarding order progress and work order fulfillment; coordinate with Production to confirm any scheduling changes.
- Label Management: Assist in staging correct labels (box and PTI) for same or next day production runs; verify label information matches assigned Work Orders in the system.
- Reporting: Ensure repack detail reports are sent to customers who request or require them (e.g., onions).
- Flexibility: Adjust work hours to meet business needs during busy seasons, including weekends.
- Adaptability: Willingness to perform other work-related duties as assigned and support team needs as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Mathematical Proficiency: Excellent math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and communication.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Efficiency: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office suite, Warehouse Management System (WMS), and Famous operating system.
- Qualifications: High School diploma or GED.

- Frequently required to sit.
- Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Continually required to speak and listen.
- Ability to work in a cold environment (33o – 40oF).
