HVAC Mechanical Construction and Project Estimator : (NO RECRUITERS PLEASE)
An Ambition Mechanical Estimator explores bid and request for quote (RFQ) opportunities and documentation in order to gain a deep understanding of all project requirements. Ambition Mechanical estimators will use this information in the compiling an accurate and concise estimate of job costs and project needs to ensure Ambition Mechanical maintains prescribed profitability standards.
Responsibilities Project Estimator:
- Analyze drawings and specifications
- Understand construction contractual terms and conditions
- Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner for stipulated price, Design-Build and retro-fit construction projects
- Provide clear detailed quality take-offs
- Organize sub-contractor quotes, and negotiate to ensure quotes meet contract documents and the issue of properly documented purchase orders
- Complete budgeting and scheduling for projects
- Maintain relationships with sub-contractors and clients
- Ensure site personnel are provided with proper documentation related to project
- Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labor costing
- Formulate cost breakdowns from estimates and projects progress
- Assists project manager and business manager with assigned tasks to meet project bidding schedule
- Perform project bid reviews with VP, PM, BM of estimate to clarify all scope items, sub-contracts, all other deliverables are captured and get approval with VP before proposal is approved to send to client
Qualifications for Project Estimator:
- Solid knowledge of the HVAC Mechanical construction industry
- Awareness of technical terminology
- Understanding the sequence of construction mechanical projects
- Experience with estimating Fast Duct and Bluebeam software and spreadsheet design
- Proficient in FASTDUCT and FASTPIPE, Microsoft Office, BlueBeam and general computer software
- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC Mechanical Construction, engineering, and architecture principles
- 3 years minimum experience in estimating HVAC Mechanical projects
- High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
- Able to perform assigned tasks in a timely manner with an acute attention to detail
Compensation:
Full time in office position in Tempe AZ
Salary- $70,000 to $95,000 Depending on qualifications and experience

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
