About the Position
Woody's Brewing Co. is looking for a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Brewery Operations Assistant to join our production team.
This is an entry-level production position in a working craft brewery. No previous brewery experience is required; we're happy to train the right person. What we can't teach are reliability, professionalism, accountability, and a strong work ethic.
Successful candidates enjoy hands-on physical work, take pride in cleanliness and organization, and are committed to doing the job right every time.
Because we are a small team, every employee plays an important role. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and clear communication are essential to keeping production on schedule.
Schedule
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Occasional evenings or weekends may be required for special events, deliveries, or production needs.
What the Job Looks Like
A typical week includes:
- Cleaning and sanitizing brewing equipment and work areas
- Packaging beer
- Assisting with brewing and cellar operations
- Organizing inventory and raw materials
- Preparing orders and making deliveries
- General brewery maintenance and housekeeping
Approximately:
- 40% Cleaning & sanitation
- 20% Packaging
- 15% Cellar work
- 15% Brewing assistance
- 10% Deliveries, organization, and miscellaneous production tasks
This is a physically demanding job that requires standing for most of the day, frequent lifting, repetitive tasks, and working in hot, cold, and wet environments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain brewing equipment, tanks, hoses, kegs, and production areas.
- Assist with brewing operations including milling grain, weighing ingredients, transferring beer, and monitoring production.
- Support cellar operations including transfers, dry hopping, yeast handling, and quality checks.
- Package beer into kegs, cans, and other containers while maintaining quality standards.
- Organize raw materials and finished product inventory.
- Prepare orders and deliver beer safely to customers.
- Complete production records accurately.
- Follow all brewery safety and sanitation procedures.
- Identify issues and communicate them promptly.
- Assist wherever needed to support brewery operations.

Qualifications
Required:
- At least 21 years old (required for quality assurance tasting)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 55 pounds
- Ability to occasionally move full kegs (up to 165 pounds)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work on your feet throughout the day
- Reliable transportation
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Basic math and record-keeping skills
Preferred:
- Brewery experience
- Delivery experience
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification within 30 days)
Experience in production, manufacturing, warehousing, food or beverage production, mechanical maintenance, or other hands-on industrial environments is a plus, but not required.
