Duration: 3 Months of contract
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Payrate: $20.00/Hr. on W2 (without benefits)
- We are hiring a Housekeeper for a feed plant in Spokane, WA.
- This position involves maintaining cleanliness in a very dusty industrial environment by sweeping, shoveling feed, and performing repetitive housekeeping duties. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working on their feet, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 pounds, and following safety procedures.
- This is a physically demanding housekeeping position in a dusty feed-plant environment. The job requires frequent walking, stair climbing, sweeping, shoveling, and lifting. An elevator is available for transporting heavy items between floors.
Responsibilities:
- Sweep and shovel feed and dust throughout the facility.
- Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties in a production environment.
- Repeatedly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Walk and climb stairs frequently during the shift; employees may climb up to 7 flights of stairs throughout the workday.
- Follow oral and written instructions and established safety procedures.
- Perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
- Complete required forklift training; employees will not operate forklifts.
- Work overtime and some weekends when required by business needs.
Requirements:
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for prolonged periods.
- Comfortable working in a very dusty feed-plant environment.
- Good mobility and ability to frequently walk and climb stairs.
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
- Knowledge and compliance with workplace safety guidelines.
- Steel-toe shoes are required.
- Must be able to pass the required forklift training test.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
