Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in the construction and restoration industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks and be proficient in using hand tools and power tools. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites.
Duties
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Perform tasks related to siding installation and repair.
- Engage in mold remediation efforts as needed, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for various carpentry tasks including caulking and metal stud framing.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Assist in restoration projects that may involve plaster work or other specialized carpentry techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Carpenter in the construction or restoration industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, and best practices in carpentry.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
